Aviva Studios
The Brief.
To develop a  motion framework for a five-screen documentary installation at Aviva Studios, designed to amplify the voices of women in football, including Vivianne Miedema and Ali Riley. The system balances intimate portraiture with bold, provocative questions, remaining closely attuned to the rhythm and pacing of the film.

Our Role.
The project is anchored by a custom-designed title card, forming the basis of a multi-screen motion identity. Sixteen typographic narrative inserts punctuate the film, with the system extending into social content and poster merchandise to ensure coherence across contexts.
Title Card.
—
The title card serves as the installation’s primary anchor. It was designed to be revealed through a focus on the players’ eyes, with a layout that supports the voices central to the piece.
16 Typographic Narrative Inserts.
—
Acting as a counterpoint within the five-screen installation, we created sixteen bespoke typographic animations that cut through the documentary footage with deliberate timing. Appearing in stark black or against bold colour, these moments introduce interruption and emphasis, creating space for reflection without resolving or explaining the testimonies on screen.
The Challenge.
—
The primary challenge was establishing a visual language that could hold its ground across five massive screens simultaneously without overwhelming the film. The typography needed to be disruptive enough to punctuate the footage but refined enough to support, rather than overshadow, the players' intimate testimonies.

Social Content.
—
To extend the installation beyond the big screens, we designed and produced a suite of social content. The work adopts a more playful, rhythmic approach while preserving the film’s typographic clarity, maintaining the character of the installation across formats.

Poster Merchandise.
—
The project’s typographic identity was subsequently carried into poster merchandise, translating the title treatment into print. Retaining the stark graphic language of the installation, these pieces ensured the visual identity remained coherent across physical and digital contexts.
